Your SwissCenter email address can be set up in the Mail app on iPhone and iPad in a few minutes. There is a single server name to enter, mail01.swisscenter.com, for both incoming and outgoing mail.
In short
Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account, then choose IMAP and enter mail01.swisscenter.com as both the incoming and outgoing server, with your full email address as the user name.
Before you start
Have these at hand:
- your full email address, for example
mary@example.ch;
- the password of this mailbox. If you no longer know it, the hosting account holder can reset it in their management console, under Email addresses, or ask us.
These instructions apply to recent versions of iOS and iPadOS. On an older version, the path starts with Settings → Mail → Accounts; the following steps are the same.
Add the account
- Open Settings, tap Apps, then Mail.
- Tap Mail Accounts, then Add Account.

- Enter your email address and tap Next.
- Tap Add Other Account, then Mail Account.
- Fill in the four fields, then tap Next:
- Name: the name your recipients will see, for example "Mary Example";
- Email: your full email address;
- Password: the mailbox password;
- Description: any name to recognise the account, for example "Example Ltd".

- The iPhone then looks for the server settings. If it asks you for them, tap IMAP at the top of the screen, then fill in both blocks the same way (if it found them on its own, go straight to step 8):
| Field |

Outgoing Mail Server |
| Host Name |
mail01.swisscenter.com |

| User Name |

- Tap Next. Verification can take a minute.
- Leave Mail switched on (and Notes if you wish), then tap Save.
Your mailbox now appears in the Mail app. Send yourself a test message to check that receiving and sending both work.
Check the encryption
The iPhone normally turns encryption on by itself. Checking takes a minute and avoids sending failures later.
Incoming. Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → your account → tap your address at the top → Advanced (at the very bottom). Check that Use SSL is on and that the Server Port is 993.

Outgoing. Go back to the previous screen, tap SMTP (under "Outgoing Mail Server"), then mail01.swisscenter.com under "Primary Server". Check that Use SSL is on, that Authentication is set to Password and that the Server Port is 465. Tap Done.

The illustrations represent the iPhone screens; labels may differ slightly depending on your iOS version.
